Feeling Crafty

Mine

Professional

I guess I have just had a number of things that I have wanted/needed to do and just have been making the time lately. My mom needed a new sign for her front door sign holder. We both have a similar one. I had a sunflower and she had mentioned that she wanted one too. So yesterday morning at 6:00am I pulled out my scroll saw so that I could cut with no kiddos around and cut out a sunflower for my mom and then painted it later in the afternoon. I had forgotten how much I like doing that. The first one is the one that I made and the second is the professional one that I had bought and copied. I think it is a pretty close likeness. Now I want to paint my whole sign and make some more. It doesnt cost anything because I just used scrap wood and paint I already had. I hope mom dont read this before Mother's Day because that is what she is getting. Another item on my list is to make McKinley some hair bows. I dont really know how, but I was experimenting yesterday. I want to get some of the alligator clips, but I forgot while I was at the store so I will save that for later. I also have fabric to make McKinley a dress and a blanket for each of my kids that I still need to get to. I have big ideas and not always the time to get it all done.

Great job Erin! When I feel better I can teach you how to make bows. I have TONS of ribbon. I get them on sale with scrapbook stuff. By the way I made McKinley some shaky socks. I will have to give them to you the next time I see you. I love that sign...I think yours is better than the professional one. I am sure your mom will LOVE it!

Mom will for sure like it. You did a great job..if I even attempted to paint something nobody would be able to tell what it was :)

I love your craftiness. And I couldn't tell the difference at all on the two flowers. So cute! I want a skill saw! And I feel the same way as you. I want to do so many things, but I never seem to find the time to do them... =) I hope you're able to get them done.
