First Day of School

The kids all started school last week. It is bittersweet. Lincoln started 6th grade. He likes his teacher, Mr. Ianni, even though it was not the one he thought he wanted. He has lots of homework, but has been diligent in getting it done so far. He is playing trumpet again this year and is now going to early morning practices, so I have to have him there by 730am. Carter is in 1st grade and spends half of his day in special ed, Mrs. Nelson's class and the other half in "regular" ed Mrs. Nelson's class. I thought that would be great, but so far it has been very confusing having the same name. McKinley is also in 1st grade in Ms. Hansen's class. She thought she would want to switch teachers because all her friends were in the other classes, but she decided she likes this class too. Jackson will start preschool in a few weeks. He is so excited to be going to Ms. Kerry's three days a week. He askes everyday if today is the day. They are all growing up so fast.
